Description

Managed the Data migration from one organisation to another. Ensuring the migration strategy and processes were adhered to across internal and external stakeholders. Creating the solution design using ETL by evaluating data from UCL (Source) reviewing data in SharePoint, Teams and applications. Converting the data by removing unnecessary data through reporting and discussions with UCL stakeholders for the identification of data to be Kept, Deleted or Archived. Complying with data governance and internal policies. Removing duplicates and correcting data errors. Loading the data into JJD (Target) ensuring data is written to the relevant SharePoint and OneDrives.

Scope

Responsibilities

  1. ETL - Created the solution design using ETL by evaluating data from UCL (Source) reviewing data in SharePoint, Teams and applications. Converting the data by removing unnecessary data through reporting and discussions with UCL stakeholders for the identification of data to be Kept, Deleted or Archived. Complying with data governance and internal policies. Removing duplicates and correcting data errors. Loading the data into JJD (Target) ensuring data is written to the relevant SharePoint and OneDrives.

  2. Communication & Stakeholder Management - Communicating with internal and external stakeholders including project managers, business users, senior executives and external moving to internal users. Communication of migration details including progress and timelines

  3. Tools and Technology - Utilising ShareGate to coordinate the migration of data from Tenancy to Tenancy ensuring relevant reporting, presentations and final copy is done efficiently. Including final delta copies to mitigate against data loss

  4. Providing post-migration support to ensure minimal disruption to business operations and smooth transitions

  5. Developed and implemented the data migration strategies and plans for the Mergers and Acquisition

  6. Coordinated with cross-functional teams including IT, Finance, HR, External Partners and Senior Executives.

  7. Conducted thorough assessments of existing data systems and identified potential risks and challenges
